Joseph, Son of Jacob

EVERYTHING MEANS SOMETHING...

This is important to think about and UNDERSTAND.

I hope I can make it clear...

Today is St. Joseph's Day according to ancient church tradition.

READ the genealogy of Jesus.

In Matthew 1:16 we are told that JOSEPH, earthly father of Jesus, is the SON OF JACOB....

Interesting how all scripture is connected.

JOSEPH SON OF JACOB

The first JOSEPH, Prince of Egypt in Genesis, was the beloved son of old JACOB (renamed Israel).

THE FIRST JOSEPH was sold into slavery to Egypt by his brothers and yet became the great Prince of Egypt who saved HIS BROTHERS and all the children of Israel.

IN DREAMS, God spoke to both the FIRST Joseph, Prince of Egypt, and the SECOND Joseph Carpenter of Nazareth.

God warned SECOND JOSEPH, the earthly father of Jesus, to flee to EGYPT to escape Herod.

When Moses led the Hebrew slaves out of Egypt, (Passover) the bones of FIRST Joseph were carried OUT OF EGYPT before them, through the Red Sea, through the wilderness, and then home to the land of Israel to be reburied in the Promised Land .

During our own prophetic end times the Muslim Palestinians have repeatedly attacked the tomb of Joseph in Israel.

Why do Muslims hate the Tomb of Joseph?

Because of this prophetic verse:

Joshua 24:32

"...the bones of Joseph which the children of Israel had brought up out of Egypt

they buried at Shechem in the plot of ground

which Jacob had bought from the sons of Hamor for 100 pieces of silver

and which had become an inheritance of the children of Joseph."

Joseph’s holy burial ground in Shechem, to this day, remains the ancient Jewish claim and the eternal inheritance on the land of the nation of Israel.

God is a God of tiny details.

He connects all the dots.

Even the name of the Nazareth carpenter, Joseph, son of Jacob, the earthly father of Jesus, has great meaning.

There is this final connecting detail;

the tomb where Jesus was placed

was also hewn out and owned by a man

named JOSEPH of Aramethea.

As we move closer to the Holy Week when Jesus died for our sins, let’s remember,

JESUS IS ALIVE!

The tomb of Jesus, who grew up in the care of Joseph, is empty.

JESUS, The Risen King of Israel, goes before us through this earthly wilderness.

Jesus Messiah, Son of God, earthly son of Joseph, son of Jacob, is leading us home to the inheritance and eternal life the Word of God has promised to us!
